Portsmouth Magistrates' Court sees 3 staff test positive for Covid-19

Cases are continuing to be heard at the building in Winston Churchill Avenue in the city centre, despite calls for a shutdown and deep clean.
HM Courts and Tribunal Service said the staff had not stepped foot inside the building six days prior to receiving a positive test result.

Hide AdThe staff members immediately isolated after showing symptoms.
A court service spokesman said: ‘We have taken all necessary precautions to keep everyone safe, in line with public health guidelines, and court business remains unaffected.’
The service said none was in close contact with each other, wore PPE and maintained social distancing while at work.
