A REWARD of £5,000 is being offered after a woman assaulted and robbed a 68-year-old man from Clanfield, leaving him ‘badly shaken’.

The independent charity Crimestoppers has launched an appeal for anonymous information to find a woman wanted in connection with an assault and robbery in Petersfield last December.

The victim was in Petersfield Heath Common car park, Sussex Road, when he was approached by a woman sometime between 2.15pm and 2.45pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

The woman assaulted the victim before stealing his Patek Phillipe Nautilus watch.

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30-years-old, around 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build with short brown hair.

At the time, she was wearing a puffer jacket, trousers, a dark blue hat with a brown bobble and glasses.

The wanted woman fled in a silver car, which drove east along Sussex Road.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information regarding the incident.

The attack and theft has left the victim badly shaken and it has affected his health, according to Emily van der Lely, regional manager at the crime-fighting charity.

She said: ‘Our charity believes everybody has the right to be safe.
