Tributes paid to 'one in a billion' Hampshire dad killed in car crash on Winchester Road

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Phillip Hindmarsh, 62, of Bishopstoke, was pronounced dead at the scene after his grey Nissan Leaf was involved in a crash on the B2177 Winchester Road north of Bishop’s Waltham.
A statement released from his children said: ‘Phillip, a man that simply cannot be captured in words, an enormous loss to so many whose hearts he touched.

The family described Phil as being ‘never too busy to stop, talk, and listen to anyone and everyone, offering kind words and advice to those in need’.
Giving an insight into into the popular family man’s character, they added: ‘He was a man who had all the time in the world yet still managed to be late for everything – an inspiration, a legend, one in a billion.’
The fatal crash took place at 6.10pm on Saturday, May 30 while Phil was driving near Upham.
