POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a sports car and a tractor earlier today, which left a 58-year-old man with serious injuries.

Emergency services, including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, were called to the incident in Poles Lane, outside Otterbourne Golf Course, at 12.30pm on Saturday.

The driver of the red MG B sports car was taken to Southampton General Hospital. He suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The tractor’s driver was uninjured.
