We're still waiting to hear where the lies The News printed were exactly.

It certainly isn’t the report of the latest winding-up petition Gosport Borough have been hit with. That’s been confirmed by the relevant parties.

Nor can it be the news of AFC Totton’s interest in manager Alex Pike. The man himself has been speaking about that.

Maybe it’s stating the unrest has unsettled the players or they have been left with a £40,000 hole in their budget after they turned to a man found guilty by the FA of transfer irregularities.

No it can’t be, because the club have talked openly on both subjects.

Yet, Borough chairman, Mark Hook very definitely accused The News of printing lies at the weekend. Strange.

It was odd to many of Gosport’s long-suffering fans to see their team’s report reduced to two paragraphs in Monday’s paper.
