Review: The Rocky Horror Show at the Mayflower, Southampton
I couldn’t have agreed more. I’ve never seen a crowd this noisy on an opening night.
Not for the faint-hearted, Richard O’Brien’s creation is two hours of evocative, risqué madness and mayhem about a newly-engaged couple’s run-in with a mad transvestite scientist.

The audience got involved from the beginning, don’t be surprised if you’re sat next to people in fancy dress, there’s fishnets and suspenders everywhere.
Diana Vickers was delightful as Janet and Ben Freeman was equally as impressive as Brad.
The crowd couldn’t get enough of Dominic Anderson as Rocky, donning nothing more than leopard print underwear for the majority of the show.

The part, made famous by Tim Curry, meant he had big boots – or should I say stilettos – to fill, but boy did he do it.
He was hilarious yet seductive, with vocals as smooth as his legs.
Until Saturday.
